  1. Hard to believe this is how a "town" got started; a few buildings along a wide cattle track and that was your town. And eventually the tracks got laid and the trains came through, connecting East and West coasts from one end to the other. People brought their building techniques from wherever they came from: back East, Europe, above or below ground; wood, stone, adobe or clay, hides, wherever. Incredible, really.
